Volunteering in your community can be a very challenging, yet rewarding experience. It offers you the chance to meet new people, learn a new skill, lead or teach others and enjoy the fun.

The growth and popularity of our events dictate the need for additional talent to fill these positions which help to support CHA and its mission.

We are currently seeking energetic volunteers to fill positions that encompass duties before, during, and after the festival or for our year-round events.

You do not need to have Celtic heritage to apply!

CHA has several types of volunteer positions.

- On call (OC):  will show up to help at smaller events on demand or will donate time to outreach public events at schools, etc.

- Regular (R): will volunteer to work events during the timeframe they are held (usually quarterly).

- Team Leaders (TL):  take an active and particpatory role in attending meetings, collaboring with others, planning, organizing, and taking the lead in your area of interest.

- Board Members (BD): attend annual meeting in Oct/Nov with the option to join in Team Leader meetings as well.

Our meetings are now open to the public!  If you think you may want to join us as a volunteer, or just to see what we are up to behind the scenes, please feel free to join us.

Team Leaders (TL) meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 6:00 pm in Newport and we do have some volunteers who participate remotely as well.

Please check in with our volunteer coordinator in advance in the event our meeting date/time/location changes.

Simply e-mail

Regular Volunteer (R) meetings are scheduled in the months leading up to the annual Newport Celtic Festival & Highland Games. Check back in March 2015 for updates.

All Board members may eligible to attend our Team Leader meetings and Regular volunteers may be invited to attend based on need for input on event-specific needs.
